LEAD BOLDLY: Not done yet

by Julie Jakopic  - December 5, 2025

There’s a little over 3 weeks left to this year. It’s tempting to just wait out the end. In some ways, it’s been a long slog we’d like to call finished. In others, we can be proud of a lot of things we’ve done.

But if we do that, we start 2026 focused on assessing 2025. Instead, let’s do that know so we can start 2026 looking forward. Maybe quietly and carefully, or boldly and aggressively but looking forward.

Some questions to consider as we wrap things up:

  1. When was the last time you felt at peace? Where were you? Who was with you? What were you doing/not doing? How can you find more of this?
  2. What would change if you did things based on choice or desire instead of obligation? Sometimes that is a simple semantic flip from “I have to” to “I get to.” Sometimes it is about changing what you do and trusting yourself to do what is necessary.
  3. What do you want to leave behind? Stuff you want to stop doing, stop allowing, stop letting get to you?
  4. How do you want to feel at this time next year?
