Since July 26th thousands of athletes from every culture and nearly every country on the planet have come together to compete. To show the world what they are capable of. What people are capable of.
All of them are Olympians, and most of them will go home with amazing, shared memories and amazing experiences, but without medals.
It’s kind of like that for most of us. We work hard. Do our best. And we don’t go viral, make headlines, or garner that kind of attention except in our own circles of friends and family.
But that doesn’t mean the effort was smaller or less worthy of recognition. Take a minute this week to realize all you have already done for your world and then get ready to take it to the next level.
Have a great week!
Julie
What I’m learning this week: I love summer produce. During the pandemic lockdown, I collected cookbooks. Here are two of my favorites. One is a website – love and lemons. And my fav of their books is Love and Lemons Everyday). The other is a chef I have been following since, Julia Turshen, and my fav of her books is Small Victories, check out the lentils on p. 136.
